A longstanding and leading studio musician, saxophonist & composer Nick Ayoub was always one of Quebec's best-kept jazz secrets, playing behind giants like Maynard Ferguson, Johnny Holmes and Duke Ellington. He's also backed a veritable who's-who list of artists in the studio, appearing on dozens of recordings (he's featured on the great "Ready Or Not" Canadian Jazz compilations).

Yet he's only recorded a handful of self-credited solo LP's. His two standouts are 1963's highly coveted "The Montreal Scene" on RCA, ...and "Bossa Nova" released on Trans-Canada.
