Maurice Alfred Marie Vidalin

Profile:

Maurice Vidalin was born in 1924 in Paris and died at Rueil-Malmaison in 1986. He was an author and a French lyric writer.

He often wrote lyrics for music composed by Jacques Datin (1920-1973). In 1954, one of their early works was written for Juliette Gréco. From 1957, their association resulted in such successful songs as "Zon zon" interpreted by Colette Renard and Michèle Arnaud (1957), "Julie" by Marcel Amont (1957), and "Les Boutons dorés" written for Jean-Jacques Debout and covered by Barbara in 1959.

Many interpreters have used his lyrics, such as Gilbert Bécaud, Michel Fugain, France Gall, Juliette Gréco, Françoise Hardy ("Le Temps des souvenirs"), Gérard Lenorman, and Mireille Mathieu ("Paris en colère").
