Swedish psychedelic rock turned cross-culture folk-rock and jamming band. They were formed in 1970 and took their name from one of Sweden's highest mountains. Some members previously played in the bands Baby Grandmothers and Mecki Mark Men.
Key stylists in the band are: Kenny Håkansson (guitarist also known on a few Bo Hansson albums) and Mats Glenngård (violinist and second guitarist). The original band fell apart in 1978, although most of the musicians kept active in other projects, reforming with a lot of the original members in 2001.

April 23, 2015As if to start anew the second album was simply titled KEBNEKAISE and featured a bright rock and folk fusion, lengthy tracks with lyrical melodies, strong driving rhythms, an abundance of solos, a great delight for fusion lovers and Bao Hansson fans alike, Kenny’s guitar and influence in Bo’s music is also most notable here. INNEHALL followed a similar musical formula, but also saw the addition of foreign ethnic elements - both African and Eastern. Here the complexity and energy of Kebnekaise parallels that of the instrumental Santana at their very best.
