Under Crimson Skies

Under Crimson Skies (UCS) from Marion, NC, was officially formed around Christmas of 2003. Justin Lewis (vocals) who played guitar for the punk/ska band Lazy Boy and Landon Ramsey (guitar) former guitar player for the metal band Shadowplay had found by talking that they had similar musical tastes. Not long after meeting they started what would be known as UCS. Justin brought in Andy Coons on bass, and Landon contacted Josh Hollifield a drummer he had played with in Shadowplay. The band played together for a short time and realized a second guitar player would be needed to fill out the sound, and Andy Ogle was brought in to fill this position. During the summer of 2005, Sam Steele took over on drums thus completing the current lineup. The band strives to keep their punk rock roots very audible in their sound, but they also try to blend in the heavier aspects of newer hardcore. UCS has shared the stage with the Independents, My Bitter End, August Burns Red, The First Step, Pride Before A Fall and many others. UCS broke up around 2005 and members formed the short live band No Honor Lost
