Stuart Hamblen (born October 20, 1908, Kellyville, Texas, USA - died March 8, 1989, Santa Monica, California, USA) was an American singer and songwriter. Inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (1970), the Academy of Country Music Pioneer (1971), Hollywood Walk of Fame (1976), Gospel Music Hall of Fame (1994), Texas Country Music Hall of Fame (2001) and the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame (2012). He was one of radio's first singing cowboys, and later became a Christian songwriter, temperance supporter and recurring candidate for political office. Known best for his original composition "Open Up Your Heart (And Let The Sunshine In)."
