Roger Chastain from Ochlochnee, Ga and Joe Trower from the Panama Canal Zone formed the folk duo "THE LEGENDS" in 1961 at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Both Roger and Joe sang in the Georgia Tech Glee Club and the Miss Atlanta Show. THE LEGENDS traveled with the show entertaining the army troops in Europe and Iceland. The duo was signed to a recording contract in Nashville as a reward for the Ted Mack Grand Prize Win. After graduating from Ga Tech, the LEGENDS toured the night club circuit. In their Fort Lauderdale, Fl appearance Roger was made an offer that he could not refuse. He had graduated with a degree in Industrial Design and was offered the opportunity to create and manage the design department at Systems Engineering Laboratories. The rest is history. Roger later started Chastain, Inc. and developed his signature product - the "SHADOW" Rear Window Louver. With Toyota and Honda among his major customers, he and his wife Jane settled in Southern California. Roger now leads the music at a local Baptist church.
