Simon Cranny

DJ & producer from Croydon. Honing his mixing & scratching skills via hip-hop, Sy moved over to house whilst studying geography at Nottingham University. Whilst their he hosted his own show on the local pirate station, Rave FM, as well as becoming resident DJ at Venus. He left Venus after the promoter wanted to concentrate on house music, instead of the hardcore that Sy was supporting.
Sy became one of the biggest DJs in the rave scene, and after meeting DJ Unknown at a Fusion event in 1994 they set-up one of the most successful happy hardcore labels, Quosh Records.
Sy & Unknown's partnership ended in 2012, and Sy retired from the upfront hardcore scene, though he can still be found playing old skool and classics sets nationwide.
