American Soul, Pop singer, actor (born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on April 22, 1943). Discovered by Quincy Jones and signed him at Mercury. He had his first hit in 1963, with the Sam Cooke's co-penned "When a Boy Falls in Love". In the mid 60's he reached his commercial peak with "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" at Imperial.
