Michael J. Bowman

Profile:
Originally a drummer in a whole slew of NYC punk and rock bands around the mid 80s, Michael turned his attention to solo work. Really solo work. He worked out of a lo-fi basement studio and played all the instrumentation himself, producing a unique blend of experimental pop which he self-released (later through his label Semper Lofi Recordings).
His DIY approach has earned him a reputation as a "cassette culture casualty". Michael has made all of his music available for free at the Internet Archive.
