Classical violist. An active performer of diverse musical genres, Liuh-Wen Ting was a recipient of the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society award, a member of the Meridian String Quartet, and has collaborated with, among others, the Manhattan String quartet, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Cassatt String Quartet, Ensemble l’art pour l’art, singer/song writer Fredo Viola, and most recently the renowned Persian vocalist Shahram Nazeri, with sold-out performances in major concert halls throughout North America. She has recorded solo and chamber works for Capstone, Albany, Pogus, Tsadik and Mode records, and has been featured internationally at Ostrava New Music Days, Etnafest, Prague Spring, Warsaw Autumn, and Primavera en la Habana music festivals.
