Douglas Gordon

Profile:
Scottish video and performance artist, born 20 September 1966 in Glasgow, Scotland.

He studied art (at the Glasgow School of Art) from 1984-1988 and later at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, from 1988-1990. He won the Turner Prize in 1996 and the following year he represented Britain at the Venice Biennale.
Douglas is represented by Gagosian Gallery; BlainSouthern in Berlin; Galerie Eva Presenhuber in Zürich and Dvir Gallery in Tel Aviv.
He lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
