TV Pow Ensemble

Profile:
TV Pow is a Chicago-based electroacoustic/experimental trio founded in Tokyo by Michael Hartman and Brent Gutzeit in 1995, and later joined by Todd A. Carter in the Chicago in 1996. Often cited as 'laptop trio', they really use various acoustic and electronic instruments: percussion, drums, piano, self-made instruments (like Gutzeit’s famous 20-string steel bass), synthesizers, samplers, etc. Most of their releases are remixed and edited live recordings, and throughout their career TV Pow collaborated with many sound artists from Japan, US and Europe, including Boris Hauf, Ernst Karel, Stilluppsteypa, Toshimaru Nakamura, Tetuzi Akiyama, Tsuguto Tsunoda, Gene Coleman, Thomas Deater, Astro, etc.

They also have a side-project Television Power Electric.
