The Prodigy

Profile:
British electronic group, founded in 1990. Their first release was single "What Evil Lurks" (1991). Their early music was mostly rave/breakbeat, but has become more mainstream mixing in rock guitars with the third album "The Fat Of The Land" (1997).

Band members:
- Liam Howlett (head of the group, producer)
- Maxim (MCing, vocals)
Former long term member:
- Leeroy Thornhill (dancing)
- Keith Flint (vocals, dancing)

The original Prodigy line-up was Liam on keyboards and Leeroy, Keith and Sharky as dancers. Maxim was recruited at short notice to MC at their debut gig at Labrynth in Dalston, London. Sharky left the group at Christmas 1990 after they got their record deal with XL as she didn't want to devote more time to the band. Their initial deal with XL was for 4 singles, with XL paying a £1500 advance prior to the first single.
Liam Howlett briefly used the pseudonym Earthbound (6) (named after Liam's studio) for the original white-label summer releases of "One Love" (1993).
Leeroy Thornhill left the band in 2000.
Keith Flint died by suicide on 4 March 2019.

Sadly a group I've never seen live and never will now that Keith tragically passed away...
One of the most influential groups on me and while their output recently has been a bit samey, I still think they carved a style out for themselves in the end and left an absolutely massive legacy behind. RIP Keith Flint

So tragic about Keith Flint passing. He was quite unique frontman on the stage.
Prodigy was something else when they released Jilted & Fat Of The Land. They stood out clearly from everything else at the time and was basically alone with what they did. It was electric punk at its best. Howlett, an absolute genius creating the stuff they did and can only tip my hat for this mans studio-prowess.
I can also mention that my brother is a total rock'n'roll head, but simply loved Prodigy's music back in the 90´s. "Absolutely damn cool stuff" was his word about them.
Commercial or not, they had something to show for, and did so. My absolute respect to Prodigy.

Well i'm sorry for Keith Flint that passed away and respect his family and friends R.i.P.

Strange he commited suicide for something ...well...ermm....as what he does in his clips and such is unrealisable .

Anyway proof is that we humans are only on earth for a short while and he had a wonderful life as many artists as us random people .

You were a Bitch named Charly that had One Love in a Voodoo People that could Start the Dance everywhere .

Rest in peace mate :/ Never let a woman have your heart, it almost killed me as well. Mistake. Learn from mistakes guys. He separated with his wife 2 days before suicide. Think! Never allow anyone to have such a control over you.
