Nordens Paris

Profile:
Band from Tromsø, Norway. originally put together to compete in national championship in Rock in 1980 (In which they won). Was known for a short time as The Glade Vanvidd (The Happy Frenzy) before they changed the name.

Band consisted by Ronald Martin Grønås (Guitar/vocals), Kjell Nilsen (Bass), Halvard Bech (Keyboard) and Roger Lauritzen(Drums). This was the original lineup, of which managed to record one album and a single before they broke up.
There where 3 additional drummers that was part of the band.
-Sava Balic (Who only recorded on the single release)
-Rune Akselsen (died in 2007)
-Tor Arnold Johansen

The band was never properly established, and after 1985, there was a constant changing lineup and the band never had any direction and faded off into history. But the band (or at least the name) survived and still exist to this day with ever-changing line-ups and doing some one-off shows locally now and then, even though none of the original members are with the band anymore. Grønås died in a fire in 1991. Akselsen went on to record with Unit Five and passed away in 2007. Tor Arnold Johansen also passed away.
