If I had to make a list of my 3 favourite hardcore producers, there's no way I could leave out Ham. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the most musically talented guy the scene has ever known.

He produced some breakbeat and happy hardcore bangers, often alongside Brisk, in the 90s but I'm writing a comment predominantly to show love for his 00s UK hardcore work. When it comes to his tunes on Next Generation/Blatant Beats last decade, it's easier to name the ones that weren't good. In fact, off the top of my head, I can't think of a single one.

Unfortunately, it seems like the criminal under-appreciation and low financial reward for his work in hardcore may well have precipitated his move to the drum & bass scene. Given that he's found huge success on RAM Records under the alias Hamilton, it seems doubtful to me that he'll ever produce another hardcore track. Just typing that shit makes me sad. Gutted doesn't even begin to cover it.

"Run To You" and "Love U Tonight" will forever duke it out for the position of his hardcore swan song. Needless to say, they're both excellent.
