Simon Ghahary was founder and designer of Blue Room Loudspeakers and was responsible for the design and identity of the "pod" speaker series. In 1995 he founded Blue Room Released based in Shoreditch, London (1995-2000) with an office in San Francisco (1997-2000). Blue Room was musically A&R by Simon Ghahary and was dedicated to the electronic underground, releasing techno, trance, dub, and ambient music. Its original sound was hypnotic tribal percussion, with sweeping electronica, creating the fullness and dynamics of a movie soundtrack. Boasting label signings such as Juno Reactor, Total Eclipse, KoxBox, X-Dream, Eternal Basement, from in and around Europe, he set out to find other artists around the world, and showcased these finds on compilations, such, The Trip Through Sound, Made On Earth and Signs of Life series ). It was one of the first labels of its genre to break the labeling of being just being trance, releasing breaks, dub, chillout, and electronica.
He has designed album cover art regularly with The Orb, Saafi Brothers, Koxbox, and Eternal Basement.
