I just found this guy via Tower records listening station. I picked up Norken Blue Divide. I went back 3 days later to get everything else. After listening to only Global Undergound releases for months, this is a great diversion. Try it. You could try it after ingesting your favorite herb. Sit back for a couple of hours and just listen to this stuff. Lots of beauty and atmospherics, as well as some jarring analog synth madness and downsampled aliasing noises. Highly recommended!!

lee norris' is the best electronic musician there is, bar none. there are so many producers making tracks, and you say to yourself "oh great, another standard issue house or drum and bass track, that sounds like every other one i've been hearing for the last decade or so". an then you hear metamatics! it always sounds so fresh and different and original. strange sounds, weird tempo changes (that aren't tempo changes at all, they just sound like they are), abstract complex beats, the odd vocal sample + the best synth pads you will ever hear.
my favorite meta trax (in no particular order are) Here To Go, Hymn Bream, Beautiful Mutations, For Brother, Meander, Liquid Gel, Jet Set, Vanishing Point, Play Off and Giant Sunflowers. get them now. be careful though, because this is definitely chill music, not "jump up in the air and wave your hands like you just don't care" music. again, amazing music.
