The Fantastic Terrors

The Fantastic Terrors are a rock band from Athens, Greece. They took the band name in 2012 from the poem ‘The Raven’ of Edgar Allan Poe. The members are Manolis Georgakakis on vocals and bass, Dimitris Sklivagos on guitar and Alexandros Tzannes on drums. Band members are childhood friends and have been collaborating in various bands through the years. Because Tzannes is a New York resident, the band has been performing live in Greece with drummer Stavros Daktylas from Greek garage legends The Sound Explosion, as well as Thales Kesisoglou from Negative Contrast. The Fantastic Terrors first release on Greek label Ikaros Records is a 7” record with songs “The Yodeler” and “Empty Refrigerator Sunday”, which had been performed live since early 2016. Videos for both songs are available on youtube. Their mascot, a one eyed skeleton head with a hat, set as a delta punk ghost called Rob, is inspired by the legends of iconic bluesmen.
