UZEB
Profile: | Canadian (Quebec) jazz band from Montréal (1976-1992) known for its fusion and progressive form of jazz. They rose to the international jazz scene because of their very well-conceived albums recorded in the 1980's. The band also became popular while touring major international jazz festivals such as Bracknell (U.K.), Paris and Montreal but rarely played concerts in the United States. In 1991 at the Festival International De Jazz De Montreal, UZEB received the Oscar Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award. |
