It is quite sad that the mastermind that defined a genre, dream dance, or dream trance, would have such a non prolific career. Two seminal albums in the Electronic Genre. First, Dreamland, like nothing that had ever been heard before... Then a year later, a more mature, refined, and superbly crafted electronic album, 23AM... To this day, almost 20 years ago, this album, continues to set a very high bar, that has not been reach by many of the so called edm artists... Quite sad to see that Roberto has kept to himself, and become involved in other projects that are not musical at all.

Robert Miles is the man, plain and simple. "Children" converted me from a heavy metal lover to a raver almost overnight, and I'm sure thousands of people around the world have similar stories. But he is more than a one-album wonder. Each successive release shows his maturing sound and penchant for trying out new ideas, and he's remarkably good at integrating them into a cohesive package. Even if you don't like all the songs on his releases, you've got to hand it to the guy: He won't bore you with the same sound on multiple albums. In fact, none of his albums sound alike! That's the mark of a true musician in my opinion. Definitely worth picking up.
