Here's a surprising review on our old 80s minimal synth wave track "XX 4" - re-released on "Various - Computered Love" by Private Records, Berlin in 2016:

$chwarzer Freitag was founded in 1982 by Bernhard and Martin Mueller and Norbert Hinz in Muelheim / Ruhr, Germany.
The group split off in 1986.

The instrumental tracks were recorded in their own home studio on an Tascam 4 track tape recorder.
Used equipment: Roland TR 808, MC 202, TR 606, TB 303, Juno 60 and last but not least Commodore C64 with early Steinberg and Jellinghaus sequencer software (I guess).
We have been inspired by the music of the bands: Front242, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Human League, Heaven 17, early US-electronic house sound and lots of Sheffield and Belgian electronic post-punk new wave music of that time.
