Sault

Profile:
Sault are a pseudonymous British music collective that make a mixture of rhythm and blues, house and disco. Despite critical acclaim, they eschew interaction with the media.[1] They frequently foreground black-centric issues.

Their first four albums credit Inflo as producer; winner of Ivor Novello awards for his work on Little Simz' Grey Area and as co-writer of Michael Kiwanuka's "Black Man in a White World".

Likelihood of a repress on Untitled (Black Is) soon, vs spending too much on another version? =/

My new favourite band. According to GP the 'U' stands for 'Universal', any clues on the other letters?

Wow, just wow. IIIII was my album of the year 2019. since then they have produced three more albums in less than two years. All containing incredible songs. I totally love their raw high energized soul sound. This must be the most productive crew out there at the moment. If there was justice in the world, they would be huge. Yet, there is so little info about them. Enjoy and be amazed.

I'm sure Cleo Sol is involved vocally. Her latest LP (not listed on Discogs as I write this) is released on the same label and involves Inflo too. In fact, having just checked my copies of the Sault LPs I have just noticed that the name Sault appears nowhere on the label or cover artwork, not even on the spine.

I'm gonna be the first to start the rumour that this is that band Jungle's sneaky side project. Lots of clues if you know what you’re looking at. How's that grab you?
