Died: June 28, 1968 (Hendersonville, Tennessee)

He grew up in Phoenix, AZ.

He lived in Nashville at one time but his last home was in Henderson, TN. He is buried in the National Cemetery in Nashville, TN.

He wrote The Race is On (performed by George Jones), Mirror, Mirror on the Wall (Performed by Buck Owens), and The Other Woman (performed by Ray Price) among others.

Buck Owens served as pall bearer at his funeral.
