Nova (2)

Nova was a Dutch electronic music band, who reached the number 1 position in the Dutch Top 40 in 1982 with the instrumental "Aurora".

The group consisted of Rob Papen, Ruud van Es and Peter Kommers. Nova had a hit with ''Aurora'' in 1982. Later that year, the group had another hit with ''Sol'', where Nova also made a single of ''Ariane (The Traveller)''. After Nova's success, the group continued only under the name of Peru. Nova was the "commercial" branch of Peru. Under this name, the group had a modest hit with the number "Africa" in 1988. Rob Papen and Ruud van Es are still active in producing music, but no longer under the name Nova.
