A criminally under-rated but a bit of a 'Bovril' type of a singer.
You will either hate or adore her 'ethereal billowing' & I'm firmly of the latter opinion.
Her take on 'Angel On The Ground' really does transport you somewhere 'above the clouds'.
Some of her B-Sides like 'I Want You Back' or 'Love Me Tonight' make you wonder who was choosing the tracks to promote ?
Thankfully both have been recognised as the Classics [in hiding !] they are and there's some brilliant longer re-edits of them.
'Groove Me' is the track most might know & thankfully there's now some expanded editions of the LP.
One of them strangely uses the 7'' of non-album single 'Movie Show', when there's a longer take that's sadly 'vinyl only'.
I wish some Love could be shared for her other 2 LP's and maybe put them on Cd too with some of the many rarities that still haven't made it to any of the 'compilations' - yet ?
Like so many singers written of as 'One-Hit-Wonder', there's much more to her than just the one tune.
ps
I'm pretty certain the track 'Movie Show' was on a 12'' Single that isn't listed here ?
