Grammy award winning American graphic designer and art director. Born 12 January 1932 in Brooklyn, New York - Died 11 October 2015 in Southampton, New York.
He was appointed as Bob Cato's assistant at Columbia in 1961. He took over as art director in 1965 when Cato was promoted to vice president of the creative department. He then became art director (and later creative director and vice president) of Columbia/CBS Records until 1985. He left behind a legacy that includes some of music history's most famous album covers, spanning more than 5,000 in total.
