Profile:

Brazilian songwriter, poet, writer, advertising agent, journalist and doctor. He wrote his first lines of poetry at the age of 15. In 1960 he moved to Salvador, and began studying law at the Federal University of Bahia. At this time he was studying theatre and met Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil.
