During the late 90's and early 2000's there was a boom of futurepop and synth pop bands from Norway. Bands like Sweep, Spektralized, Icon of Coil and Apoptygma Berzerk among others formed this new wave of Norwegian electronic pop and Echo Image were a very important part of it. Most of their stuff falls into the futurepop category although they have a few more guitar driven songs that almost puts them in more of a mainstream pop rock category. Which makes it a bit baffling how they never had more mainstream appeal.

Nearly all of their music is solid synthpop with great lyrics and amazing vocals. Definitely worth checking out if you're into aforementioned groups.

I loved this band. What happened to them? I have searched but it seems no one is in other bands either.
