The Neon Judgement

The Neon Judgement

Profile:
Dirk Da Davo and TB Frank veered between minimalistic industrial drones and odd, new wave synthpop and dance music, underlain by cold, mechanical rhythms. Their initial music is aggressive, danceable and dominated by synthesizers and drum-machines. A bit later on in their career, the guitar also had a prominent place in their music.

Belgian electro-rock duet mainly active during the eighties.
During the early years, TB Frank and Dirk Da Davo proposed the best mix between rock, industrial and electronic music, of the decade. Their powerfull music (much more than Suicide), gave to their songs a real catchy tune. This formidable live act had several underground hits played in the new wave discotheques.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet TB Frank in a CIO 80's party at D-Edge club where Da Davo was supposed to play his tunes, which happened in november 2005, during The Neon Judgement tour in Brazil, organized by Eneas Neto of Fiber Online. What an eccentric fellow Frank is, I would say. He spoke a little about the band, and that he was quite tired of the electronica universe lately. According to him, The Neon Judgement always reflected the elements of the electronic sounds melted with the ones of Rock in their work. He told me that he has been listening more guitars than synthesizers lately.
