So what happened to these guys, then? Initially an interesting old-school techno group exploring tinges of hardcore, they then - during the latter half of the 90s - spun out a range of EPs and a couple of albums that, to this day, are unique dark twisted and - dare I say - psychedelic techno masterpieces. No nono, don't think psytrance, oh no. This is weird, dark shit that follows similar lines to Surgeon's harder techno moments, but goes places Mr Child rarely dared to go on his solo work. Faster BPMs, repetitious head-spinning bass lines and melodies, incessant booming kicks and some pretty mind-warping loops make Holy Ghost one on their own. With the exception of Cari Lekebusch circa 2004-2006 - whom since has followed the tedious path of dull minimalism - I still cannot think of a techno artiste / band that has produced anything similar. Banging, dark, and sometimes quite f*cked up. Awesome.
