Arno Babajanian (Armenian: Առնո Բաբաջանյան) (January 21, 1921 – November 11, 1983) was an Armenian composer, pianist and pedagogue during the Soviet era.
People's artist of the Armenian SSR and the Soviet Union.
Member of the Union of Composers of the Armenian SSR, and that of the Soviet Union. Assistant professor of the piano at Yerevan State Conservatory from 1950 to 1956.
Among his state awards are: 3rd Stalin State Prize (1950), two State Awards of the Armenian SSR (1967, 1983), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1956) and Order of Lenin (1981).
Father of Араик Бабаджанян.
