Damien Echols

Born December 11, 1974

Author, convicted murderer, and former death row inmate. He is a member of the West Memphis 3; an unofficial naming of the trio who were tried and sentenced for the murder of 3 young boys in 1993. He, along with the two other men were released in 2011 by entering into an Alford Guilty Plea after a long and highly publicized movement to free them. Echols' innocence is still the topic of much debate on forums and communities across the globe.
