The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (BBC SSO) is a Scottish broadcasting symphony orchestra, established in 1935 and based in Glasgow. One of five full-time ensembles maintained by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), SSO is the oldest professional orchestra in Scotland.
