Welsh harpist, composer, and teacher. Born 8 February 1928 in Ffynnongroyw, Flintshire, Wales, UK - Died 5 January 2021 in Afryn, Pwllheli, North Wales, UK.
He studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He joined the London Symphony Orchestra in 1961 and became principal harpist; he continued in this role until his retirement in 1994. He was a founding member of the Melos Ensemble Of London and also formed the Osian Ellis Harp Ensemble. Professor of Harp at the Royal Academy of Music (1959-1989).
He was made Commander (CBE) - Order of the British Empire in 1971.
