Real Name:
Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone
American singer, entertainer, songwriter, actress, director and businesswoman. Born August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. After performing in the music groups Breakfast Club and Emmy, she signed with Sire in 1982 and released her debut album, Madonna, the following year. She followed it with a series of commercially successful albums, has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognized as the best-selling female recording artist of all time by Guinness World Records.

Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility. She was ranked at number one on VH1's list of 100 Greatest Women in Music, and at number two on Billboard's list of Greatest Hot 100 Artists of All Time (behind only The Beatles), the latter making her the most successful solo artist in the history of American singles chart.

Regardless of what you think of her as an artist, I think it's pretty hard to knock the fact that from the early 90s to now, her singles and DJ promos often featured some of the best and most in demand club producers doing remixes for her, churning out some incredible remixes in the style of what was popular at the time in the club scene. Even if you don't like her vocals, there's always the dub remixes.

The Queen of It ALL! 38 years in the game, and like she said, her most controversial fact is that she's still around!

As a project, and looking at all the PRODUCT, I wonder what this Madame X album stands for? Looking at the more ltd edition releases, and there are quite a few, pic, coloured etc, there seems to be the assumption: the more tracks the better (sure, IF THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH.) The videos are well done, the dance is great, but, ummmm not too sure about the music.

Strange, mysterious, alluring, but wait, is it good music?. Not too sure about this album, so beguilingly attractive, but as I get closer and dare LISTEN, well, it’s a bit bland. It’s hard to sit through this swamp of an album, can somebody please point out a decent track? I know . . . get a team of monkeys to thump out some remixes, surely the laws of probability will eventually churn out something foot-tinglingly sensational?

But wait – do we even have a track worthy of being a single? So many promo singles from the Madame X album. Looking for a legitimate / available single is like hunting for truffles. It really begs the question: WEREN’T ANY OF THE MANY TRACKS GOOD ENOUGH?

[Maluma ‎– Medellín (Remixes, seven of ‘em). "For promotional use only. Not for sale. Distributed at official "Madame X" album-release parties & nightclub giveaway events in various cities across the US." Must have been some party. And maybe it’s noteworthy: money, power, extravagance, beauty with questionable depth, exclusivity, don’t let the rabble in and then they’ll be gagging to take part. A part of the rat trap, no, no, no, noooooo.]

It's so dark. Where has that ray of light gone?

Proud to discover her back in late 1994 (her popularity was down at that time cuz Mariah Carey dominating the entire 90s).

Never sticks to one winning formula like other artists, Madonna continues to put out catchy, exciting, adventurous & impactful catalog that no others can match.

I'll be keep looking forward for her new style routinely, because Madonna barely disappoints.

Long Live Her Madgesty, The Legitimate, The Queen of Pop.

//important note: I don't personally hate her in any way, I've got better things to do// In addition to being an obvious attention whore and not exclusively attention wise (she once tried to bang Michael Jackson lol) , DJ Sprinkles said everything you need to know about this person in his track Ball'r (Madonna Free-zone).

I like some of the songs of Madonna, even though I am not a fan of her.

Even though I was born in 1986, I say that all these artists that were inspired by the music of the 80's like Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Kim Wilde, Samantha Fox, Whitney Houston, Prince, Belinda Carlisle, Cher, Chaka Khan, Gwen Guthrie, Jocelyn Brown, and even Donna Summer, have a very good success of each one from the 80's until forever.

I think Madonna needs to do what she wants. Not what her management wants her to do. If she wasn't ready to record Hard Candy in 2007 they shoudn't pushed her to Timbaland and Timberlake. Because all her credibility as a producer, she was trying to built since 1986, was lost after their production. Is she was OK with that - than, people thought, she's not a real artist who wants to express herself. Because people loved her music, not her looks. And she "betrayed" that part of her fans that came after "Ray of Light". When Timbaland and Timberlake were braggin on MTV about "making all the stuff and then figuring out how to make it more madonnaish" - it was too much, IMHO. And her "Filth and Wisdom" interview about being more interested in movie than making music was also unnecessary.

Madonna was trying to bring Gogol Bordello to mainstream and they were ashamed she (blood pop star) even mentions their name in public. Madonna may be very busy saving Malawi but she should thing about herself first. And her career. Because as much as I despise Elton John, she really can make great pop records like "Ray of Light", not dance stuff. Remixes are for dance staff. She can do remixes album or add acoustic version to her dance albums, like she tried (and didn't finish) with MDNA. I was hoping she reinvented MDNA after acoustic "Love Spent". Didn't happen, of course. Girl Gone Wild is such a good melody, it's a crime to hurt people with vocoder in melody like that. So unfair!

Sometimes I think she's sure her fans have terrible taste in music because they listen Madonna. And she despise them for not listening to Bach, Mozart or Beethoven instead of her. But I was raised in a home of musicians and was playing studying piano from 6 to 14, eight bloody years of classical piano, music theory and musicology. My mother is a classical music teacher, too. But I truly don't understand why Madonna is trying to hide from listeners with vocoder and stuff like that. Her voice is unique, she's not just good, she's the one. Her sense of music makes me believe she could have been a great score composer herself (if she wasn't hurt at a certain age to make her develop hatred towards practicing piano, and then she was busy being photographed). I still want to believe her great soul can produce many great songs. It's sad she even thinks people only want to take a pictures with her (she said it during second Tears of a Clown), not listen to her songs. I'll pray to God she recovers from this melancholy, and as soon as possible.
