British techno producer born in Chelsea, London. Influenced by Jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and his own father.
He founded the Rotation Records label and co-promoted the Twisted Funk night with Darren Emerson. Also used to play on the pirate station Phase 1.
Brother of Monie Love and Baz.

Unbelievable early productions. Love the vibe, fast paced 90-95 era. I ran on Artech by chance, which is part of a various compilation not that expensive, but what a track, way beyond the rest of the other productions.
Also completely crazy that Dave Angel is still producing records nowadays, although I find the latest issues to be more common.

Having chatted a few times at gigs over the years Dave Angel is a gent and an ambassador for good techno funk. Thanks to tapes of Dave playing I discovered the good stuff from Detroit, Chicago and other mid-west cities in the 90s, plus a ton of funkier, deeper stuff. Forever grateful. Keep releasing and DJing Dave.
