Mistabishi did nothing wrong.

If everyone who premixed "live" DJ sets was exposed, the whole world of electronic music would be turned upside down. I'd be shocked if almost all of the very top EDM DJs, who are only hired for their production abilities, didn't premix to some extent to guarantee against catastrophic trainwrecks.

I know for a fact (with evidence) that a very popular DJ in the wider rave scene who's renowned for his mixing ability - to the extent that he draws people to events for his mixing - premixes some of his transitions to make his seemingly difficult double drops easy. The only reason it's not a scandal is because I, and the handful of other people who know, choose not to make it one. I don't think it's worth ruining a talented man's career over premixing. To each their own.

As for his political views, who gives a shit. In a sane society, you would be able to express those views without fear of punishment. But a multicultural society is so foundationally weak that it relies on its opposition being silenced without ever having those difficult debates.

Mista was one of the most creative and naturally gifted producers in DNB. It's a crying shame that people can't have a mature discussion about seemingly *anything* without dragging in outrage porn and cancel culture. People need to harden up, learn to engage sensibly with new ideas and stop trying to ruin others' lives over alleged "wrongthink" (especially if you've only vaguely heard about it second- or third-hand from whatever news source you use to find all of your opinions instead of forming them for yourself).

What a guy 1st of all caught miming to a mix CD then makes huge racist comments online and single handedly destroys his career. Well done that man

Update.... in all honesty I'm surprised this hasn't been done already.

In addition to his widely publicised fake DJ set, he has more recently been exposing his right wing racist views on his Facebook page culminating in a massive explosion in relation to a new piece about Sadiq Kahn stating Donald Trump wasn't welcome in London. The post grabbed a lot of attention and the small minded imbecile still proceeded to argue his corner despite making several unsavoury racist and anti Muslim comments.

The good people of the internet subsequently tore shreds off him and I sincerely hope that this finally forces the total bell end off grid and we never hear from him again.

Seems to have been pretty quiet since a huge furore in October 2009, in which he was alleged, from several different sources, to have played a pre-mixed CD for the duration of a DJ set, whilst miming on the decks. Mistabishi excused his actions, but many drum and bass producers, DJs and fans were less than impressed, and at this time, it remains to be seen if he will live this down.
