A string of vinyl and CD releases between 1996 and 2001 saw the Australian DJ BOLD gain international respect as a producer as well as a DJ. The journey started with Bold starting his own record label - Vast Recordings in 1996 and the label was founded with the first releases from DJ BOLD, the Mission 8 ep and Turntable Phonetix. Both releases were quickly picked up by highly regarded Dj's and magazines worldwide, propelling Bold into the international spotlight. The scene was set and Bold was signed and relocated to Europe by a well respected Dj agency and record label. Soon new production highlights for Bold appeared including vinyl releases for famous Chicago record labels High Octane and Kne' Deep Records now based in Berlin. Other releases followed on Australia's Dirty House Records (who had a huge influence already on Bold) and Symbolism, one of the labels run by legendary DJ/Producer Ben Sims from UK. Bold tracks were picked up for release by many labels and Dj compilations worldwide.
