All-female soul group from Kansas City. In 1967, a recording session at Chicago's RCA Studios saw the first singles recorded for Ellis Taylor (2) and Forte Records (2). The Rayons consisted of Doris Davis (2), Margie Perkins, and an unidentified third female member. They were immediately upstreamed to Decca Records, who pushed the group through the Memphis system for a single release via songwriter Dan Greer and his co-writer / arranger Willie Mitchell. They later sang backup for the track "Just a Taste" for Tony Ashley - Just A Taste / I'll Go Crazy.
