I have a Drome tape recorded from Coldcut Solid Steel on Kiss FM, but due to excessive playback, only side A is still audible. Side B got half deleted by a vicious car stereo 15 years ago (no!!) Fanaticism began as soon as hearing it first aired at 4am one morning in Sept/Oct 94, with all the original Coldcut Solid Steel interludes & field recording samples.
A few years later I found Bernd Friedmann playing in New Zealand in Spirng/Summer 2001, at Splore Music Festival under his Flanger guise, but alongside Flanger tracks he also played his Drome catalog, some of which could only be his DAT collection of studio mixes (sounded uncannily similar to the Kiss FM set) Basically sounds like a raw rendition of The Final Corporate Colonization Of The Unconscious, these tracks are excellent on this album but there are some other mad versions amongst pretty much all sets by Bernd Friedmann aka Drome, Nonplace Urban Field, Flanger and Some More Crime all exude absolute quality
