The Prime Numbers
Profile: | The Prime Numbers all hailed from Providence, a seaport city which, because its sailing men brought in the latest hit singles from England, was the hippest pop music spot in America. They wore “Pelham’s basin” haircuts that dated back to ancient Rhode Island, and suits with legless pants which they made the newest rage. Rob Seidenberg played lead guitar, Michael Macrone rhythm guitar, Ted Greenwald keyboards, Adam Bresnick electric bass, George Makari drums, and all the boys sang. That’s Adam doing the lead vocal in “We’re Not Through” and “Sweet Jane.” Rob takes the lead on “You’ll Never Give It Up,” as Michael solos in “Marie Provost” and “Lyrics.” Ted fronts the band in “Responsibility,” and George cameos in the rocking number “Kids at Heart.” |
