Telepathic Love is a lush new release from Matt Sumrow, a multi instrumentalist, who’s currently adding splendor to the music of Dean & Britta; here, stepping out of The Comas, along with Mikey Jones, and Ryan Dunlap, to lay out this hypnotic release, one full of echo, reverb, and enough sensitive, intelligent, interesting lyrics to hold your attention for days on end. Which is pretty much what happened when he dropped this album on me at the Troubadour, and I played it all the way to Felton ... the next stop on his tour with Dean Wareham.

The vocals on Telepathic Love are hushed, matched to heartbeat rhythmic percussions, washed in waves of foam, bathed in midnight fever dreams, and the lost feeling that nervously settles over you when you subconsciously become aware of the full splendor of a daytime moon hanging low on the horizon. The songs are fresh and exciting, beholding to no one, yet riding that neo-psychedelic meets indy space-rock atmosphere, most suitable for when you want to feel alone in the crowd, carving out your own space, and being keenly aware of things you’d never noticed before.

The album is presented here on stunning light blue transparent vinyl with a digital download, and since is was limited to an edition of 500 scoring it may prove a bit difficult, but I promise you, if you ride the psychedelic waves, you're gonna find yourself on the other side of the galaxie.
