Stélios Yiannakópoulos was a Greek recording engineer. Born 6 April 1929 in Náfplio, Greece,
He started his career at the radio booths of ΕΡΤ (Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία-Τηλεόραση) in Zappeio Palace, where he worked between 1955 and 1961, when he resigned. For a while, he worked in ERA Studio, a basement studio in Nikoloudis Gallery, owned by Μίμης Πλέσσας. On 1 March 1962, he was hired as recording engineer at Columbia Studio III, where he worked until the closing of Columbia Studios (Columbia Studio III, Columbia Studio, & Columbia Studio II) on 23 December 1983. After the closure of Columbia, he worked at ERT in the Third Program as sound recording engineer for the musical ensembles until the early 1990s, when he retired.
