Richard Kirk was a near 20 year veteran of making electronic music when he started his Sandoz project. And a lot of it was pushing the sound of an experimental kind. Whether it be industrial, experimental, techno and the like. And here as Sandoz, he stripped down his sound to the aura of house and techno music. With what he understood about music you might think he would try to push the limits of the sound but in a way its reserved and it just shows his understanding of dance music and house music. Like you might think he was too forward thinking to almost do house music. But he loved all forms of music and his talents were immeasurable. What a legend. What a house sound he cultivated with the Sandoz sound. As much as I was a Cabaret Voltaire fan through the 80s and 90s, I always come back to the Sandoz and Electronic Eye eps and albums when I want to here Richard at his most creative.
