The Porters

Real Name:
The Porters

The Porters - a band firmly rooted in the heart of the Ruhr and the Rhineland, united by their penchant for Irish traditional music. Playful and joyous melodies on the violin and mandolin blend seamlessly into the full board on out of pure punk rock energy, or accentuate the atmosphere carried a ballad. Yet they are the stereotype of the typical Irish folk punks not fair, because their musical roots are diverse and will not be denied. So you can hear influences from punk, 60's garage and country and even hard rock of the 70s, and - NO - this is not in the way. 2007 she released her second powerful album "Anywhere But Home" (Knock Out Records), which - as is their debut album "A Tribute To Arthur Guinness' (KOR 2002) - Comparisons with relevant scene sizes not only easily withstand, but from them differs in a soothing measure. THE PORTERS have thus created a niche that they fill sovereign, and of which they convince at numerous international concerts a wide audience again and again anew.
