Michael Hoenig


German musician and composer, born on 4 January 1952 in Hamburg, currently residing on the island of Ibiza, after living in Los Angeles (USA) for a long time.
Apart from a few solo albums Michael is far better known for his film music and, for some fans, also for the music for the popular Baldur's Gate PC games series.
Owns his own production company Metamusic Productions.
He performed and recorded with Agitation Free from 1971 (after Christopher Franke left the band to join Tangerine Dream) to 1974 and again since 2007.
In 1975 he briefly played with Tangerine Dream during their Australian tour and one concert in London (in place of the sick Peter Baumann) and with Klaus Schulze for a handful of concerts before starting solo recordings in 1977.
