Yep - the book 'STEVE LACY (UNFINISHED)' from the imprint Lenka Lente is great. The texts/articles/interviews are roughly 70% English, 25% French, 5% Italian. Recommended reading.

Lacy is considered ONE of the most important soprano saxophonists of all time ?
Somebody tell me, who can match him. Not one can match him. His technique is untouchable. Evan Parker, Wayne Shorter,
Trane, Roscoe Mitchell, Bechet ? - all veerry good but not on Lacy´s level.
No one could play the sounds, Lacy played in the upper and lower register of the soprano sax. At least, i never heard
anybody who could.
Besides this Lacy is one of modern jazz supreme composers, besides Schlippenbach the only one who "thought" Monk
a step further so here we have him, the Muhammad Ali of the soprano sax. The Greatest of all time.
