Vladimir Smiljanić (born: 19th March 1947, Stari Gradec, Podravina, Croatia) is a Croatian singer, composer and songwriter. He started his musical career in the mid 60s by dedicating his work to folk and traditional music of the Croatian Podravina region. He started working for the Yugoslav record production company Jugoton (today Croatia Records) in 1967. There he shall stay during his whole working time, dedicating his life mostly to traditional music. In 1968 he founded the ensemble ''Ansambl Vladimira Smiljanića" (3 records) and made a 4th record with the ensemble "Ansambl Veseli Podravci'' in 1974. He was also the founder of "Grupa X", "Grupa 4X" and "Tajna", all vocal-instrumental ensembles.
