still best dudes ever

After all these years, the M series still ranks as the best example of deep techno out there. Each record has everything you need, and even after a thousand other artists pay their respects by remaking the sound I will never get bored of the originals. If you don't know Maurizio head straight to M3 and listen to them all from that point.

What makes the Maurizio releases so interesting, especially from M-4 onwards, is that they are quintessentially minimal. They just roll along in a way that's incredibly deceptive. It's although nothing's happening and nothing's changing. But it's exactly these subtle variations on the theme that makes this music so good and so timeless.

Minimalist techno combined with elements of dub to create a liquid groove with deep spatial effects - in the process redefining the techno genre. Lovely stuff from this legendary duo.
