British producer and engineer born January 27, 1949 in Kilburn, North London, England. Started in 1967 at Decca Studios, moved to Air Studios in 1970, then worked freelance from 1973 until 1997. Now living in Canada.

Steve Jansen has called Punter the 6th member of Japan, important in mixing the bands live sound.
